Hot Springs Terraces Walk

Explore Yellowstone’s powerful geologic past and present on the Mammoth Hot Springs Terraces. Learn how these dynamic travertine formations are unique among the park’s thermal features. Meet at the entrance of the Upper Terrace Drive, two miles south of Mammoth village. 1 1/2 hours.

Explore Yellowstone’s pristine night sky. Meet at Forces of the Northern Range trailhead. Look for “Self-Guiding Trail” sign on Mammoth–Tower Road ~ 8.3 miles east of Mammoth Hot Springs and ~ 9.9 miles west of Tower Junction. 2 hours. Accessible.
