Look deep into beautiful Abyss Hot Spring and discover the secrets it holds. Meet at Abyss Hot Spring located in the West Thumb Geyser Basin, ¼ mile from the start of the boardwalk. Easy. 10 minutes. Accessible with assistance.

Delacy Creek Hike (Jul 1 to Sep 2)
Hike through mature lodgepole forests and beautiful meadows to the shores of the largest backcountry lake in Yellowstone. This is an easy, half-day, 6-mile, round-trip hike to Shoshone Lake. Children 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at the Delacy Creek Trailhead located 8 miles east of Old Faithful on the Old Faithful-West Thumb Road. 5 hours.

Experiencing Wildlife in Yellowstone (Jun 4 to Sep 4)
Whether you’re hiking a backcountry trail, camping, or just enjoying the park’s amazing wildlife from the road, this workshop is for you and your family. In this interactive demonstration, park rangers will help you learn where to look for animals and how to safely enjoy your wildlife watching experience. Meet on the back porch of the Grant Village Visitor Center. 20 minutes.

West Thumb Geyser Basin Walk (Jun 4 to Sep 4)
Take a guided walk along the beautiful shores of Yellowstone Lake while exploring the origins of glittering geysers, belching mud pots, and emerald hot springs in West Thumb’s dynamic geyser basin. Meet at the West Thumb Visitor Information Station. Round-trip distance is ½ mile. Easy. 1 Hour. Accessible.
