The northern Madison Range: Today for the mountains around Cooke City the avalanche danger is rated MODERATE.
The Bridger Range, the entire Gallatin Range, and the southern Madison Ranges and the Lionhead area near West Yellowstone: Human triggered avalanches are possible on all slopes steeper that 35 dregees and the avalanche danger is rated MODERATE. Less steep slopes have a LOW avalanche danger.

Sunday: Snow likely after 11am. Increasing clouds, with a high near 31°F and a low around 12°F. Wind chill values as low as -15°F. Breezy, with a south southwest wind between 15 and 25 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph. New daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch with additional 1 to 2 inches possible overnight.
Monday: A 40 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 22°F and a low around 10°F. Wind chill values as low as -10°F. Breezy, with a southwest wind between 23 and 26 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Tuesday and Wednesday: Snow likely, mainly after 11:00 am. Cloudy, with a high near 22°F and a low around 15°F. Breezy, with a southwest wind between 18 and 24 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Thursday: A 50 percent chance of snow. Cloudy and cold, with a high near 8°F and a low around -8°F.
Friday and Saturday: A slight chance of snow. Mostly cloudy and cold, with a high near 3°F and a low around -17°F.
