The northern Madison Range: Today buried surface hoar and recently formed wind slabs make human triggered avalanches likely and the Avalanche Danger is rated CONSIDERABLE.
The mountains around Cooke City and the Washburn Range: Today buried facets make human triggered avalanches likely and the Avalanche Danger is rated MODERATE.
The Bridger Range, the entire Gallatin Range, the southern Madison Range, and the Lionhead area near West Yellowstone: For today, with some weaknesses present in the snowpack, the Avalanche Danger is rated MODERATE on all slopes steeper than 35 degrees and LOW on less steep slopes.

Tuesday: Windy...cloudy. Chance of snow in the morning...then snow likely in the afternoon. Snow accumulation around 1 inch. Highs 21°F to 27°F. Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph. Gusts up to 40 mph increasing to 45 mph in the afternoon. Chance of snow 70 percent.
Tuesday Night: Windy. Snow likely in the evening...then snow after midnight. Snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Lows 13°F to 19°F. Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph. Chance of snow 80 percent.
Wednesday: Breezy...snow. Snow accumulation of 4 to 6 inches. Highs 23°F to 29°F. South winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts to around 35 mph. Chance of snow near 100 percent.
Wednesday Night: Colder...snow. Moderate snow accumulations. Lows 4°F to 10°F. Chance of snow 80 percent.
