The kids camped with us at Signal Mt. after their hike up Hanging Canyon. Got up at 6 a.m. on Sunday. Had oatmeal, fruit and chocolate pudding for breakfast. Yup, chocolate pudding. It's sort of a family tradition to have chocolate pudding (the instant kind) for dessert when we're camping. Since this was the last camping meal Carolyn and Rob would be having with us, we had chocolate pudding for breakfast. Well, the rest of them did. I'm not a big fan of instant choc. pudding at any time, but especially not for breakfast at 6 a.m.!

Packed up and drove two vehicles to Jenny Lake. Caught the first ferry across the lake and hit the trail around 9:00.

This photo is of Carolyn. She was testing her new, custom-made backpack for the first time. She bought it used from a classmate at NMU who used one of those wheeled duffle bags to fashion this pack. It's HUGE! I swear, Carolyn would easily fit INSIDE the pack with her gear :-)
