National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson - small but often very interesting. One trip I stopped in, as I like to do on every trip and Jane Goodall was there on the occasion of a sculptor's exhibit (I've forgotten his name) that included a life-size tableaux of chimps on which she had advised. She was in the audience at a raptor presentation and afterwards I got to speak to her for a second!!!! She let me take her picture, I MUST find the print and scan it one of these days! Having said all that, the museum itself is really nice and has a sweeping view of the elk refuge and beyond.

The Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman is nice - especially the dinosaurs, and sometimes the special exhibits are great.

In Cody the Buffalo Bill Historical Museum is a must-see. I'd allow a full day, it's got something for everyone, and lots of it. And who knows who you might see standing in line at the cafe? Plus, the drive through the Washakie Wilderness-Shoshone National Forest to/from Cody is quite scenic and sometimes there's great wildlife to be seen.

I love the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone - their education center is excellent, and they have two wolf packs and a number of bears (that can't be rehabilitated to the wild) to watch.

And don't forget Chico Hot Springs Resort, about 40 minutes north of Yellowstone in Pray, Montana - terrific restaurant for a sit-down dinner - you don't have to dress up - clean is good, though ;-)
- but you would be best of making reservations. If you have more time, take a swim in the hotspring-fed swimming pool it's a local treasure.
