There are some gentler but really great hikes for those "sore of body" - Lone Star is mostly paved so it's not so hard on tender spots, the walk to Fairy Falls and beyond to Spray and Imperial geysers is flat and not strenuous, and if you can do a little bit of up and down (NOTHING like the walk out of Hellroaring), the walk from Slough Creek to First Meadow is gorgeous.

Don't know whether I'll be able to hike this year or not, a chronic foot condition has gotten a lot worse and I too will be really sorry if I can't navigate around the trails :-(
