We spent a couple of nights in Bozeman after we left the parks, stayed at an amazing bed & breakfast, Howler's Inn and Wolf Sanctuary. The B&B part was wonderful, best of all you can look out two of the sleeping rooms and the kitchen/dining area over the enclosures. Two of the wolves are extremely elderly, many more years than they ever could have achieved had they lived in the wild. The others are much younger. Because of the difference in strength and dominance, the old guys are separated from the younger ones by a fence. When the older ones finally give out, the fence will be removed and the remaining pack will have 4 nice acres. Two of the younger wolves (forgive me, I'm not good at keeping track of them by name) would sometimes come to the fence and make kissy-kissy if you put your face near them, big slurpy licks and waggy tails. We failed, alas, to get a picture, but I can tell you it was THE MOST unexpected behavior ever! This is one of the people-centric ones, I think his name is Comanche. By the way, he's ginormous, very impressive up close.
