We always stay at the Buckrail (at least 15 years now)...it's an older property that is very well maintained. Privately owned (same family that runs Solitude Float Trips). Parking at the door, and an easy walk to "downtown" Jackson and restaurants. Small fridge and microwave in room....no breakfast, pool, or fitness room (Janet always points at Snow King and says "that's my fitness room"), but it does have a hot tub. Biggest downside is the drive into the park if you want to get there early...but price, cleanliness, and an owner who is a Butler grad is a good exchange for us. Plus, Art likes his restaurants, and it is his vacation too!
We've stayed at Signal Mountain....a good experience and beautiful setting, for for us the price has grown too much. We'd rather stay a few extra nights than spend it all in one place.
God to see you back here!
