Yellowstone and surround areas are a fire adapted ecosystem. naturally occurring fires play an important in a healthy ecosystem. It does go against logic, but most fires are helpful. Any fire that was not ignited "naturally" by lightning and is determined to be caused by the actions of man re suppressed from the start.
