Had a fox circle the house last night. Quite a story if you know how to read "tracks in the snow". Must have been the smell of the pot roast dinner we cooked. How else can you explain it?
Meantime the stars shine brightly....what a sight. Now if only I could get a snowy owl or pygmy owl into the yard. If I ever do I can well imagine the number of friends I would acquire....probably biblical in numbers.
Three trip[s to Yellowstone interrupted by closure of Bozeman pass or very inclement weather. I haven't seen Mammoth in winter in about 15 years
