Yellowstone research and "global" conclusions

I originally looked at this paper because I saw it featured on NBC news soon after it was
published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science. It describes work on
amphibians in Yellowstone, a lot of it done in the Lamar Valley. I do believe that I even
spoke to one of the folks gathering data one summer day years ago. I think that the
conclusion drawn by the authors about their results providing evidence of global
warming, is not exceptionally well founded by the work presented in the paper. This
seems to me another example of broad application of conclusions drawn from a limited
study, much as Ballpark Frank pointed out below in GH's link.
