I would hate to hear of a child being washed into the Clark's Fork. If you are seeing that area for the first time, enjoy the views of the canyon from the bridge at the rest stop on the Sunlight Canyon side of HWY 296 (Don't let the kid run on the granite cliffs...they are slippery!); mind the cascade at Crazy Creek (my favorite camp ground); and notice the creek and cute cabin next to it at the bridge near the Painter store. If you are traveling on HWY 212, the Beartooth Highway, there may be wading at Beartooth Lake, and several campgrounds along that stretch.

YNP is searching for a boy who tried to float the Lamar River, and washed into the Yellowstone at the confluence. Haven't heard yet if they've found him.
