Gazillions of bison at Blacktail Lakes and in Little America. These guys were streaming up the steep rise from the Lamar River just west of the bridge.
Although it's been hypothesized that the scavengers will have a bad winter and spring because the ungulates are well fed resulting in low winter-kill, fortunately neither coyote I saw on this drive approached to beg, and both appropriately departed the scene when I slowed down to watch and photograph them.
