I just happened to check the web cams after doing some yard work. We were 3 or 4 hours short of sunset here in Alaska, but in Yellowstone, sunset was imminent (just before 7:30 p.m.).
The streaming web cam was getting bombarded by a horizontal steam column being pushed by a north wind. The cam had water droplets galore all over the lens. I was going back and forth between the streaming cam and the static cam. This image was caught via the static cam.
I'm hoping some of our Local Loons will generate some photo-intensive trip reports from this special weekend.
