Pretty sure it was May. I'm walking/climbing down the snow covered boardwalk at LeHardy. I get all the way down to river's edge and there's an explosion right at my feet. Scared me to death.
An osprey had a 3 or 4 lbs cut right on the bank, kinda under the boardwalk. Hated that I scared him off his catch, but I had no idea he was there.
And then there was this guy, so other year, also on the Yelst. river. This trout was also in the 3 to 4 lb range. It liked to drown the osprey. The osprey finally let go before the fish took him under.
