That is a great invention!
If the visual recognition technology evolves further, I would love to have software that can turn my phone into a tool that can identify rocks and minerals. Another great application would be software that could enable a phone to be able to distinguish boulders from bears at great distances; very useful when scoping from the roadside in the Antelope Creek drainage, Hayden Valley, and Lamar Valley. I'm recalling times spent up above Antelope Creek in the evening, once the shadows start creeping, and having regulars start talking about how they wanted to go out there with a can of white paint, and put large "+" signs or "x's" on the boulders. :)
