The NPS is seeking public comment on a plan for a temporary gravel parking area that could accommodate approximately 74 vehicles at the Fairy Falls trailhead. You have until April 1 to submit input. See the link below.
I have my own selfish bias. My rationale is the more the NPS accommodates the hordes that descend on this trail, thanks to the plethora of books and websites pointing them there, the less likely we are to have overcrowding on other trails. Cynical? Yes!
