A couple of things about the Colter Bay (shared bathroom) "Semi-Private" cabins that Ballpark Frank mentioned. I've not stayed in one but plan to next year.
Firstly, in case you're wondering and care, the bathroom is inside (some folks don't like to have to go outside at night for the bathroom). The "final exit door" (do you have that expression in USA?) opens to a small corridor; one cabin is to the left, one cabin to the right and the shared bathroom is straight ahead.
Secondly, my undertanding is that there are only about ten of the semi-private cabins (ten in total or ten pairs?), they don't tend to sell that fast and, I've been told, they are not available online - you have to phone to enquire about availability and secure. 77$ per cabin for 2014.
