...the snow must be up past his shoulders when he's on the ground. But information about the Bechler area is always good! I'm going to try to climb a hill on the northern end next summer...two years ago, I started out with a YA group along a segment of the Howard Eaton Trail, and got defeated by a high elevation hill, had to hike back to the trailhead, and wait for the group to complete their hike and come back to the trailhead to pick up our chase vehicle. Humiliating! But things may be better this coming summer. With all the good precipitation, sounds like I better plan a high summer hike, rather than an early one.

Thanks for the gorgeous 1986 pictures! I join other folks in encouraging you to find a publishing outlet, and do a before-and-after book on that corner of the world. It's a sure bet, no one has the coverage you do! Cheers! Beej
