We have stayed at three of the entrances and Silvergate is our favorite. It has a summer population of approx. 100. You will love their small town atmosphere. It is only one mile to the northeast entrance of Yellowstone. And.....if you stay in Silvergate, you will have to go over Beartooth Pass to Red Lodge, it is absolutely breathtaking.
