NP Traveler has an article on lodging in the park with prices.

Worth a look.

Comment from one reader: "I do so wish they'd quit renovating, because every time they renovate, the prices go up. To some of us, $100 a night is more than we can afford, and, no, I'm not going to camp alone as a woman in bear country (never mind that the only way to stay at OF anymore is in a room or a cabin). It's getting to the point where I'm not going to be able to go to Yellowstone because there aren't any reasonably-priced rooms or meals anymore."

The NPS does need to address lodging costs in the park. Calling a $200 a night room at a Canyon Lodge "budget accommodations" does not make it so. The demand for in-park lodging is inexhaustible regardless of the price. A portion of the available pillows should be set aside as truly budget lodging even if this requires some sort of maintenance subsidy from the Foundation or part of the RAT tax.
