Soon enough you arrive at the waterfall itself. I had read that this is the less-impressive of the two falls we had planned to hike to, which means Grotto Falls must be pretty hefty indeed--this one certainly seemed worthy to us. Not sure of the height, but probably a hundred feet or so. A very pretty place--nothing beats the sound of running water in the mountains with the smell of pine in the air. Having it all to ourselves was the icing on the cake, as there wasn't another soul around.
