On the way into the park a couple of weeks ago, bighorn rams were still in rut, and they and their hers were all over the road around Corwin Springs. Then these two guys spied each other and tensed up immediately.

They shoved each other around a little, but never came to blows (too bad, we were hoping for a good show).

Then one of them spied some elk cows peaceably minding their own business (see upper left corner) and trotted off to see if he could bully them instead.
