Yellowstone Treasures, Janet Chapple. She organizes the information by features along each of Yellowstone's "grand loop" roadways, and also has sections on geology including of the Tetons. You can refer to the website but I also recommend taking a copy of the book with you!

Waterfalls are likely to be good this year, as there's so far pretty good snow pack in the park.

Beware however that July is by far the most crowded month to visit. Do reserve your lodging RIGHT NOW. I'm guess most in-park accommodations are full (Xanterra is the concessionaire and they also run very good tours) but check out the gateway towns of Gardiner Montana and West Yellowstone especially. More about this later, if it would be helpful to you.

I (and others, I hope) will respond more fully as to the must-sees (of which there are so many!) and ways to focus your itinerary based on your interests and ability to hike, etc.

You are right to be excited, and to prepare ahead of time - but major advice here: don't stress if your daily agenda doesn't happen the way you planned, Yellowstone always offers wonderful, rewarding distractions too :-)
