I've been watching this fire at least once daily since it first started. It had been staying up on the Buffalo Plateau for the most part (at least as best as I could tell from this sole perspective). Suddenly, this evening, as you can see, there is plenty of fire much lower down. It almost could be a whole new fire, but that is unlikely. That flame might be burning up high on Mom's Ridge. The smoke is probably making breathing a bit difficult down in Little America. If this is simply all the same fire, that would likely mean there has been some wicked wind. I can't imagine what the Maple Fire is doing.
