BTW one great spot I forgot was the historic White Grass Dude Ranch, a historic site that is gradually being restored (this is a June 2013 photo, we haven't been up there since and I think a lot of progress has been made in the mean time. Take the road to Death Canyon/Phelps Lake Overlook. It's a rutted and bumpy one too, but White Grass isn't too far up. I don't know if there's a sign there now but there are a couple of pullouts where you can park, watch for it on the right side of the road as you ascend. Very nice area to walk around and I'd love to know what's going on there now if you go.
