...Are you seeing anything similar this year, with at least six tribes participating in the hunt? I saw that the Crow now want to join in. Is there a pretty broad mix of people who get the opportunity to hunt a bison?
Any chance that "excess" bison will cross over Sylvan Pass and try to winter on the Shoshone National Forest? That would be a pretty substantial tract of public land. I used to see a few bison between the East Entrance and Wapiti, but I don't know what they did with themselves in the deep winter.
