Less than a month later I was back in the park. This time I came in West Entrance as it was finally open to regular vehicles. I got there early in the morning so I could park at Midway Geyser Basin and visit some of my faves, Grand Prismatic, and, in this photo, Excelsior Geyser, which has a very large crater, too big to fit within my 16 mms. Just this slice of it with a bit of boardwalk for scale, is pretty impressive on a cold spring morning, I think!
