I worked for what was TW Services at the time, the contracted concessionaire in the park in 1984. I was just outside the Old Faithful Inn when the bear was spotted. She came across the Old Faithful viewing boardwalk toward the Inn. One ranger on horseback was yelling to the crowd to quietly move indoors but most tourists weren't having it. My friends and I, as summer employees, knew better and took refuge in the Inn, watching from the Bear Pit lounge until the bear cleared the area. I'm not sure where the bear went from there but it was a moment I will never forget. Thank you for the photo!
