Hoot,

I'm wondering (1) why there are lunkers in the river, but we never see them in the lake and (2) if there are lunkers in the lake, where do they hang out. I never heard of people going out in boats and catching larger cuts in the lake, either near the surface or obtained by trolling deep. I can imagine lunkers surviving the lake trout threat by living in the river where lake trout are not likely to go, but I can't help but wonder what the story is in the lake, even back before the arrival of the lake trout.
