Considerable decoration in Old Faithful Inn and Lodge, special kiosks for merchandise, some staff in tee-shirts, fake presents under a tree in the Inn. Used to be, over on the Firehole, people would decorate a tree on a small island in the river, definitely not an approved activity. I think periodically about helping to buy the ornaments for a tree one of these years, but someone has to get across the river to put them up, and summer seems to be safer than winter for this one. I thought about Christmas in July this year, but July 25th is the anniversary of Clark's passage down the Yellowstone (1806), when he left his signature on Pompey's Pillar, so celebrated that instead (wore the tee-shirt!).
