K and I headed to Grand Teton NP for our annual four-day stay. We were graced with some of the most beautiful weather ever experienced there - or anywhere! That made for some wonderful scenics and nice hiking, great relaxing and nice opportunities to do "new stuff"
First stop (haven't been down there in years so it counts as "new" especially since the advent of digital photography) was Schwabacher's Landing, named for the early Jackson Hole rancher Albert Schwabacher. The "landing" is along the shore of a slough (side-channel) of the Snake River where the water famously flows languidly along, providing beautiful reflections of the surrounding landscapes ("photographer's delight"). The best photo ops are early morning and late evenings, but even when the sun is directly above, the place is breath-taking.
