After a few minutes the two owlets woke up and wiggled around a bit. One moved farther out the limb and was almost invisible behind a bunch of spruce needles.

This one, however, really checked us out. Great horned owls can't move their eyeballs around, so to focus on a subject, like a person with a tripod and camera, they move their whole head around and around, and side to side. Very charming to see!
