Photographed at Lake Butte Overlook, Yellowstone. Though the area burned very badly in 2003 some plants will thrive under those conditions. This is most likely "manyflowered phlox."

It's tiny yellow-flowered companion might be one of the parsley family members found in the Greater Yellowstone region.
