AVALANCHE DANGER For the Southern Madisons, Southern Gallatins, and the Lionhead area all slopes steeper than 35 degrees and slopes with wind drifted snow have a CONSIDERABLE danger. All other slopes have a MODERATE avalanche danger. For the Northern Madisons, Northern Gallatins, Washburn Range, and Cooke City all slopes with wind drifted snow have a CONSIDERABLE avalanche danger. Other slopes have a MODERATE avalanche danger.
