Avalanche Information
The northern Madison Range: Today buried surface hoar and recently formed wind slabs make human triggered avalanches likely and the Avalanche Danger is rated CONSIDERABLE.
The mountains around Cooke City and the Washburn Range: Today buried facets make human triggered avalanches likely and the Avalanche Danger is rated MODERATE.
The Bridger Range, the entire Gallatin Range, the southern Madison Range, and the Lionhead area near West Yellowstone: For today, with some weaknesses present in the snowpack, the Avalanche Danger is rated MODERATE on all slopes steeper than 35 degrees and LOW on less steep slopes.
